blank screen after installing a new video card help please
#1
I bought a geforce 7600gs 512MB but when i install it in my computer, the computer does not even detect it. The screen is blank as if the computer were turned off, but my computer is turned on because i hear the hard drive running and i can open CD and DVD drivers.  I have tried everything, from buying a new power supply with 550W, downloading drivers for the video card, making sure that the video card is properly seated on the AGP slot, disabling the onboard video card, changing the bios settings, and even pray to GOD to solve the problem  O-).

the video card is compatible with my system; and i don’t know what could be causing the problem. Any help will be appreciated.

welcome to my world =o

I guess it's still installing drivers, but it's taking quite long :<

Even the AGP throughput speed is the same? I.e. 2x, 4x, or 8x

There's also a possibility that it's doa (dead on arrival), at which point you need to get a RMA from the company you bought it from (if online), to return it.

Try to ask the seller from which you buy the graphic card from, he/she may fix your problem. ;)

Did you remember to plug in the power connector for the video card?

So with this new graphics card, you can't play sa-mp?
Interesting... hmm I'm not sure if there is a solution to your problem.
I guess you'll just have to move on to another game... :(

maybe its just your resolution wich is different on your new video card :P
if its higher than your screen can handle it gives a black screen but you can do everything else with your pc. It just gives you black screen  8)7
