Oh I definitely have, that's like uhh, how do you call it (I'm working a night shift so forgive me for my lack of English excellence) a mandatory album every progressive/rock fan should have listened to. Right?

Also The Machine and Kyuss aren't really prog or metal. They're moreso (actually mostly) stoner oriented regarding genre.

If you dig The Machine, you should check out Sungrazer's self titled album and their second album "Mirador". One of my top favorite bands ever. Crazy heavy psych space stoner rock and really well balanced regarding dynamics and mood builds.

Very much so! It is a masterpiece.

For my comment about Progressive Rock / Metal I was referring to The Machine track,

To me its more Progressive influenced than Stoner, I'm familiar with Stoner Metal, Sleep, Electric Wizard, Acid Witch, And so many more...All influenced by several genres.

Pink Floyd is a must have also, I own every single studio album and working on getting their live also.

I see, can you elaborate what you find progressive about their sound? c:

And indeed, Pink Floyd is fantastic... although I don't know much of their work *goes to the corner and puts on the "dunce" cap*

I'm also into a lot of old stuff like this:

Gotta love them warbling Hammonds plugged into Leslie speakers.

More Hammond goodness. (that band is great btw, great album that one).

Oh and if you like Stoner and raunchy riffing and vocals, you should definitely check out Left Lane Cruiser. Here's a few of theirs:

Friggin' love the guitar's tone in this one ^

And a last one to top it all off, one of my all-time favorite tracks in the entire Stonerrock genre.

Dem solo's. So tasty.

EDIT:

YES, Electric Wizard is fantastic! I love that nasty drowned-in-fuzz garbling guitar tone.
