And indeed, Pink Floyd is fantastic... although I don't know much of their work *goes to the corner and puts on the "dunce" cap*
I'm also into a lot of old stuff like this:

Gotta love them warbling Hammonds plugged into Leslie speakers.

More Hammond goodness. (that band is great btw, great album that one).
Oh and if you like Stoner and raunchy riffing and vocals, you should definitely check out Left Lane Cruiser. Here's a few of theirs:

Friggin' love the guitar's tone in this one ^
And a last one to top it all off, one of my all-time favorite tracks in the entire Stonerrock genre.

Dem solo's. So tasty.
EDIT:
YES, Electric Wizard is fantastic! I love that nasty drowned-in-fuzz garbling guitar tone.
Your taste is awesome! I'm not a musician so don't know technical terms, But I get feelings from other bands alike that they were very much influenced by old school progressive, Its more of a feel then anything.
Don't feel bad for not knowing all of Pink Floyd, Some albums ain't as good as others

I listen to so many different genres its hard to keep track of it all at times.
