I like the idea. but I hope those cars are so hard to steer so its a challenge for a player, not the car.. 
as I guess you already mentioned.. anyways: I also like tomozj's idea.. the ramps.. (but in a way u don't have to use them.. but U can get faster to the next checkpoint by jumping over a roof by a ramp) I like ur idea Fry, nice pics btw
