[I] Capture The Flag / Domination

Hey there,

First of all, this kind of games take too much time to script. But they may be fun, it's worth to script them in my eyes.

I remember the times when i played two different gamemodes @ Unreal Tournament called "Capture The Flag" and "Domination" (like almost all of you know). So, i don't feel like to explain it, but i will post some pictures, and will explain it shortly.



Capture the Flag (CTF)

Destination: Capturing the enemy flag, and bringing it back to our flag to gain a score.
  • There will be two teams(red and blue),
  • There will be two flags(red and blue) which will take part @ team bases,
  • There will be a finisher timer for every round (15 minutes),
  • There will be three rounds (if a draw happens, an extra final round will be played, without a finisher timer),
  • The map will be symmetcial (mapper's work),
  • You can do the event without giving players armour to make it harder,
  • There will be some health and weapon pickups around.

"Your team has gained 2 points in 2 rounds", then your team wins.
"The score is 1-1 after 3 rounds", the final round will be played.

Simply, first who reaches 2 points as a team, they win the event.



Domination (DMT) or whatever..

Destination: Gaining point with controlling the control points, and trying to cover control points to reach the pre-determinated point.

How it works? : The team who controlled a control point, it will start to gain point per second.
The more you controll the controll points, the more your team will gain ponts. When your team reached the pre-determinated point, your team grabs the victory.
  • There will be two teams (red and blue),
  • There will be three control points (use white colored pickups to show it's neutral),
  • There will be a finisher timer (15 or 20 minutes),
  • There will be a timer which gives points to teams (50 points for a controll point per second),
  • A pre-determinated point top point,
  • You can do the event without giving players armour to make it harder,
  • There will be some health and weapon pickups around.



"Your team has reached 5000 points", your team wins.
"Time is up, and your team has more points than the other team", your team wins.
"Time is up, and there is a draw", you can make a "last man standing" for the win.



Just posted two good ideas to help you guys @ taking players back with version 2.94.. I hope, you like these ones, and you can find some time to script.
