In terms of online FPS games then the original UT would be top imo.
Singleplayer wise though it is by far Deus Ex (And imo, best game of all time)
Doom would probably be 3rd as it pretty much took the FPS genre to the mainstream along with Online Gameplay and mods, Wolfenstein may of been the Grandfather but Doom was the Godfather
Other honourable mentions: Goldeneye, Hexen, Blood, Duke Nukem 3D, Quake 3, CoD4, Rainbow Six: Rogue Spear, No One Lives Forever, Condemned, Undying, Kingpin, CS
