How to increase performance with SA:MP

for some reason if i do this (using a quad core AMD athlon 2 Phenom x4 945 @ 3.2Ghz overclocked) my aiming isnt smooth, my mouse gets stuck ingame and so on, any explination?

You got same CPU as me Mine's black edition, not that it makes any difference. Haven't overclocked mine though, haven't found the need to nor do i know how to easily.
