Now that I think about it; I did have this exact same bug. You're using the race editor, right? It happened to me after I exceeded some limit (might be 255, but I think it was lower). Maps got screwed up exactly like this. After I upgraded to the DM editor I never had these problems any more. For a lot of reasons I strongly recommend using the DM editor, it's way better.

Based on screenshots you posted in another thread it looks like you are running MTA
M. If so, I have no idea what the solution could be. I usually increase the filename for each save, to fall back to older maps in case of a fuckup. lvp-island01 .. etc.
