Yeah there's a massive difference between Rage Against the Machine and Rise Against, though a few years ago when I first saw someone say "Rise Against" my thoughts jumped to RATM.
As much as it fuckin pains me to say this, I agree with bubbles.

So I clicked and listened, how wrong I was.  Garbage. Only emos and children would like this music, they can't even come up with an origional band name.  Now its true I havn't heard any of their stuff, so I gave them a chance an listened to this whole song... deep.. ROFL

By now you know that they're not ripping off any name.

Sorry, in my opinion its just bland nu-metal crap.  Its safe to say, and I would bet money on it that they'll never get anywhere.  Terrible.

They've already got somewhere, and tons of crap music does get incredibly popular (Avenged Sevenfold for example). I do however agree that it is bland and terrible.

Really makes you think... yeah, really makes you think how shit the vast majority of modern music has become over the last decade.

If you want deep.. and I mean REAL deep listen to Pink Floyd.  There are many other bands too...

Pink Floyd aren't real deep. Perhaps in comparison to hardcore punk or nu metal but certainly not in comparison to every other band in existence.
