Besides, it has nothing to do with punkbuster, it's a service called Multimedia Class Scheduler and we are preventing it from reaching the internet by disabling it's Network Throttling feature, which is proven to send audio information to Microsoft I believe.
You can disable the whole service, but that fucks up your audio (might sound crackling or just bad quality),
I also read that on most games, especially CS-CSS, that some sounds makes the ping spike.
I find that a myth, but anyway, it does send information which causes your ping to spike.
Some here say they don't get it on windows 7, I believe that's because of their upload bandwidth being quite high. Mines only 0.7 (70kb/s).
