The only thing that really "boosts" your FPS is the water detail and the HBOA.

Changing the other stuff will get you max. 10-15 fps. DICE should really do something about the performance. I also noticed that my laptop loads the maps slightly (~10 seconds) faster than my brother's PC, which is millions better than my crap.
I guess it has something to do with NVIDIA/ATi?
