So long as you've got you're spawn protection enabled (only VIPs and crew members can toggle it on and off), I see no harm in having the spawn position outside of the 'same zone' boundaries. In fact, it's probably more beneficial to keep it the way it is now. Spawning on the ship often causes bugs with your spawn weapons, i.e. you don't receive them. I guess that's why the coordinates were changed in the first place.
