I actually thought that, but when I tried installing a new mirror it failed and reset to the previous drivers (which were the same drivers). I then tried installing the drivers already on the computer again and it made no difference. What I haven't done is installed older drivers then updating again, which I'll try when I get the chance.

I found the solution! Well I didn't but someone else did. It was the file gta_sa.set in the GTA San Andreas User Files...
