*BUMP*

*DOUBLE POST*

Okay the problem's still here, and ebuddy's getting on my nerves.

When I download Messenger, I got the latest version from a friend, still gives that "Service temporarily unavailable" crap.

When going to Tools > Options > Connections, at the top it says "You are currently not connected to .NET Messenger Service.

Any idea how to fix this? Does it mean I need to update my .NET Framework? I haven't updated it, like, ever, so maybe it's that? And if so, can anyone tell me the latest version (XP Pro compatible)?

Also, my XP Pro (not proud of it, but it was already here) isn't a legit copy, so preferably a .NET Framework that doesn't detect it? (Don't go posting anything illegal though, if need be, PM me it).

Thanks for any help.
