Hi,
Since installing Windows 7 my ping hasn't been great. I've gone through all the possible reasons, and attempted to fix this, but nothing worked. On the SA:MP client, my ping readings are around ~50, but in-game it rockets all the way up to 300-400.
- At first, I thought I may have exceeded my download limit for the month of November, but my download speed is what is usually is (2.80MB/s).
- Then I realised that Windows contact your ISP if they catch you doing illegal activities. (i.e. downloading an operating system). Enough said about that.
If that was true, it would effect my download speed before my ping, surely.
- GTA SA is running in Windows 98/ME compatibility mode, set to run as administrator and (together with SA-MP) is running at the highest priority (Task Manager). It's also worth mentioning that; running it using any other mode, crashes GTA SA.
Other than waiting until December (20GB download limit), I can't think of anything else to do...
Many thanks,
Phyc0
