When I was in secondary school (high school, w/e) we had 1200 hours of school a year. What was the 'norm' for dutch schools before the new 1040 rule? I'm assuming by 'scholars' you mean students.

I don't know really, but with 1040 hours you get lessonhours, without the breaks, without a class being skipped because a teacher is absent,
