Today we moved Las Venturas Playground over to our new Intel® Xeon® QuadCore server. This means our IP address has changed to 85.17.220.2. Fortunately, this is the only change for today, and all your user accounts, money and other statistics have been transferred discretely without creating any unnecessary downtime.
Our new server is a powerful HP ProLiant box which matches the requirements of the updates we'll be implementing in the next few weeks. With double the cores, memory and harddrive space, the only thing required to improve your in-game experience by removing all lag are some major gamemode updates.. and that's exactly what our Development Team has been focussing on for the past six weeks! With many optimizations ranging from redesigning timers to changing our database model performance of the gamemode has improved dramatically since their hard work started. Tomorrow we'll explain more about the changes and features which have been implemented, and can be expected in Las Venturas Playground 2.91.
