Gates can only open if they're not part of an object. It's not possible to alter existing objects in any way. And SAM-sites (I suppose you're talking about the missilie defense system) aren't 'plug&play' (unfortunately), they need to be scripted. So your idea needs to change in a lot of ways if we want to implement something similar.
