Yeah, scripting wise MTA
A is much much better, but the metagame of it is much different to SA-MP mainly because when running around or whatnot feels so different compared to MTAA.
MTAA is probably more suited for roleplay servers since it has double/triple/quadriple amount of features compared to sa-mp, but since the feel of running about and much more simplicity of sa-mp, DM'ing is better on sa-mp which I think is the main reason for sa-mp having more players.
