MTA = Multi Theft Auto. The original online MP mod for GTA.
MTA SA was not very good/fun last time I tried it. MTA SA syncs hits shooter wise as opposed to SA-MP which syncs them target wise. MTA SA syncs a lot more things than SA, for example shots on body parts. You can also upload skins and mods for everyone to use.
On paper MTA SA >> SA-MP but afaik MTA SA fails to deliver fun and quality wise.
