A week ago, Fireburn wrote a post regarding some changes in the development team. In this post, apart from telling you about the new update, I'm going to bring up some of the things that were not mentioned in Fireburn's post. To start with...
...some changes will be made on the subject of server updates. Unlike before - when they have been pretty much at random times - they will, starting from today, be done on a weekly basis. The updates are due to occur on Sundays - however, in case of 'hotfixes', the updates can be done earlier (or later) as well. For the first weeks the updates will mainly include bugfixes, but apart from that we also aim to add one player feature per week. The first update of a month will include bigger changes, such as new handlers and minigames.
2.90.21 will, like most other 2.90.* versions, consist of mainly bugfixes. A new race (/race20, located in San Fierro) has been added and the bug allowing people to shipkill without getting jailed has been fixed. The /play command has been removed, instead new/unregistered players will spawn near the rules-icons by the strip in Las Venturas. A new command (/changelog) has also been added ingame, and will display the most important changes in the current version. Other than that, many of the changes this update are bugfixes and additions to admin commands.
As for upcoming features, we are currently working on a few - including an everyone vs everyone minigame with different, random weapon sets and a capture the truck-minigame based on the well-known "capture the flag" game. We are also creating a completely new ganghandler which will allow players to save gangs, share their money in a gangbank and much, much more! There will be a few new VIP features coming up as well, but I can't tell you anymore about them right now.
