Thanks for the comments guys! The first sprout (as cloakster mentioned) is indeed the coolest part. I can imagine I'll be pretty proud if any of them carry fruit some day too, but I don't mind taking care of them now since all I have to do is to keep an eye on them and give them some water every now and then. I'm keeping them in a south/west window which means they have as much sun as they basically can get during this time of year. I also have a low energy lamp which works in addition to the sun, which I keep on around 12-14 hrs per day.
I shouldn't be having too much trouble with insects/bugs/diseases, however I just had to kill this pretty creepy spider climbing a wall near the plants...
A bit too early for a picture update, but I can tell you that they seem to be doing fine, chili's grown ~2 cm since those first pictures were taken.
Here are some dates where stuff has happened (I keep notes in case I ever need to know):
7/2: Sewed clementine (10 seeds), paprika (~14 seeds) and tomato (~10 seeds)
10/2: Sewed avocado (1 core)
12/2: Small sprouts of tomato, about 7 of them. Grew pretty fast to about 3 cm.
14/2: Sewed orange (7 seeds)
15/2: Sewed chili (5 seeds)
17/2: A few small sprouts of paprika. Also re-planted the tomatoes in a bigger pot.
20/2: Sewed radish (19 seeds)
22/2: Already a few small sprouts of radish.
23/2: More radish and one sprout clementine.
24/2: One more sprout clementine, plus even more radish.
26/2: One more sprout clementine. Two small sprouts of chili.
27/2: Totally 5 sprouts of chili.
