I think it would perhaps be unfair to make this feature VIP-only, however I see that this would take up more space in a database, and it would get outdated when people change their names etc. and thus would probably be better to just be used by active users, the VIPs. It doesn't give you an advantage over other in a gameplay sort of way, just would be convenient, just like the clock for regular users. Hey, perhaps not for VIPs but for regulars? I don't know.
