Don't you think that's a little weird? My suggestion would be that every 1 hour (server time) is 1 full day in-game. That way it's changes often enough for the people that play for a few hours at a time but not so often that it's annoying.

Not really. Since there are different time modes available for admins, maybe we could just add more features to it. It doesn't really matter about whether it is night or day on different clients imo. Having it the same as there local time would rock and probably make the game seem more realistic. Maybe we could add an extra option for the time system for admins to enable it, and choose whether to sync it or not?

SA-MP also has a function to enable the default Single player clock, which indeed would make the time pass by one hour to every minute, however the only issue there is that it isn't synced, but I still stand with my opinion of syncing time doesn't really matter. Edit: Oh, I actually forgot that the SetPlayerTime function had a parameter for minutes, it would actually  be possible to sync the default clock.

Anyone else have any thoughts?
