turn on the day - haggisok - 11-24-2008 hi, For the last few days I have been logging on around 10 a.m gmt only to discover darkness. This last few days its not got light till around 1:00pm It's all very well if all you want to do is fight, but it makes it more difficult to drive/fly around buying props. I know some admins like the dark and thats why its set so. So could the last admin to leave please turn on the daytime. cheers haggisok
Re: turn on the day - Deaken - 11-24-2008 I think it would be better to leave the clock on "realtime" just my 2 cents Deaken Re: turn on the day - Peter - 11-24-2008 (11-24-2008, 07:34 PM)Deaken link Wrote: I think it would be better to leave the clock on "realtime" Maybe, thing is realtime for the Netherlands is different from realtime in the United States of America, you'd have to geographically locate everyone in order to compensate for the timezones. Re: turn on the day - Jay - 11-25-2008 It would be nice if the realtime option synced the times with the clocks available and showing for regular players, and just the Netherlands for anyone else =) Re: turn on the day - haggisok - 11-28-2008 So is it now permenently dark or has been for the last 24 hours, jays suggestion sounds good, even better would be the option to choose your own level of daytime is this possible? cheers haggisok
Re: turn on the day - ooshie - 12-02-2008 That's rediculus. Your saying everyone should be on there own time, so When it's night for me, it's day for you and sunset for someone else? Don't you think that's a little weird? My suggestion would be that every 1 hour (server time) is 1 full day in-game. That way it's changes often enough for the people that play for a few hours at a time but not so often that it's annoying. Re: turn on the day - tomozj - 12-02-2008 Indeed, I agree with that ooshie, seems logical. Re: turn on the day - ooshie - 12-03-2008 And to clear a little sumthing up, yes, I spelled ridiculous "rediculus". Why? Incase you have not noticed I have my own way of spelling things..because I fucking can. I just like to spell it with an "RE" instead of an "RI". As for leaving the "o" out of "lous"..That was just a typo, but thanks for the unnecessary PM hagg.

Since there are different time modes available for admins, maybe we could just add more features to it. It doesn't really matter about whether it is night or day on different clients imo. Having it the same as there local time would rock and probably make the game seem more realistic. Maybe we could add an extra option for the time system for admins to enable it, and choose whether to sync it or not? SA-MP also has a function to enable the default Single player clock, which indeed would make the time pass by one hour to every minute, however the only issue there is that it isn't synced, but I still stand with my opinion of syncing time doesn't really matter. Edit: Oh, I actually forgot that the SetPlayerTime function had a parameter for minutes, it would actually be possible to sync the default clock. Anyone else have any thoughts? Re: turn on the day - Matthias - 12-03-2008 I agree with you, Jay. I don't care that much either. Or maybe if it would be possible to make a function that everybody can set his own time? (I'm sorry if this was a useless comment full of crap, I don't know anything about scripting) Your friend, Matthias
