Is that even up for debate here? Are people here actually that ignorant, and arrogant, that they believe we're the only ones? Seriously? In this huge Universe? I don't think so; there's plenty of others out there. And, to correct Ben's FIRST post: This project IS NOT meant to create a mini-Big Bang. It's actually to just understand more about particles and such; it's just the critics that say it could turn into a destroying beam of doom. Most scientists in Europe, as well as the United States, who are not even affiliated with the project agree to its complete safety. It is not a threat, and the leading expert scientists agree.
