Well he doesn't. They just become inactive halfway through the tournament, holding others up, but that's when Ryder should do something like disqualify Lithirm and perhaps let someone else fight Matthias.

I don't know if it was this tournament or the 4-shot one, but didn't Jeanmi nearly get a no for being inactive when he signed up? Then he eventually got accepted then went inactive anyway!
