LiteZ, I don't see that happening, regardless, LVP I would not say is a shitty gamemode, but it's not very free roam.
When I join LVP I drive an NRG in circles and like to smash fast vehicles into idiots running in circles on the strip, that's really all the free roam I see in LVP these days. Death match was really never that much alive in SA:MP, it's just dying off more and more, but people like DM, so they should be able to have it. But the issue with this is DM and Free Roam do not go well against each other, but sometimes people need to get it through their head that if they want a fair fight they should take it to FC. Currently LVP is a tangled mess of rules and features, the best option would be to start from the ground up, but the issue with that at the moment is a lack of developers.
Lets take the ship for example, people see it as a flaw, "crew" call it "abusing" to run to it while in a fight, so they must sit their watching it 24/7 instead of you know, doing something that's actually useful, as I've said to Kase on steam, asking people not to "abuse" something while no one is watching is like saying "Hey I'm leaving a million dollars here unguarded what-so-ever, with no form of securty, I'll be back in an hour don't steal it~!" My point being you just can't have everything ran by humans, as they tend to be an "unstable solution", instead if it's scripted, people can't complain about a specific person, if they have a complaint they must address it to the existing script. In the beta forum I've posted at least 1 topic on how to seal the ship up much tighter than it is now, but such things were never granted due to the lack of developers.
BoSS, here's a correct version of your list of problems
1. Script (Needs some serious patching, from what I seen everything's all mixed up and buggy, best should be done from the ground up.)
2. Managers (They should be working on promotion, working on developers and getting LVP's name out, it's not hopeless, everyone is just being lazy.)
3. Rules (They make no sense, as the quote I stated above)
4. Develepors (Lacking bodies)
5. Mappers (don't have anything to do due to the lack of development)
6. Beta testers (don't have anything to do due to the lack of development)
7. head beta tester (useless, done my job, made the beta team larger, still nothing to test due to no development)
Management,
1. Get LVP's name out, work toward promotion, instead of just uploading the promotional video, conduct some kind of reward program, compress and upload the video to a .rar and tell people to upload it to their channels. As for the people who do and keep it there could get some sort of reward, like some new features or something, similar to V.I.P., a thanks for contributing to the server.
2. Recruit developers, LVP needs them, there's no doubt about that, post ads in signatures, on the SA-MP forum that LVP is looking for devs, I'm sure there's tons of people that would be willing to help!
3. Get off your ass, (this goes to a few, they know who they are of course) you're not doing anything, you're not playing in the server, you're not even doing anything involving LVP, there's people on the management list still on there that haven't been in-game in over a year, it's about time they be dropped unless they're going to come back and contribute something, same goes with the crew and administration.
4. Work on connections and affiliation with larger servers, who gives a fuck if it's an RP server, anyone who does should just stop reading now, as they don't care about players being in the server, and don't feel like helping. Players will not join an empty server, players will only stay in a server that has players, once you hit certain amount, the server starts to snowball and become self promotional. Which brings me to my next point..
Developers,
Also help in recruitment of developers, LVP needs them as stated, and then work toward a game mode that wants people to stay as long as possible, you want to make something that's addictive, that people will want to play countless hours in each day, the longer you hold a player in the more they pile up, which leads to that snow ball effect I just stated. People want free roam, give them free roam, disregard the minority of a community, but don't ignore them.
"Crew", staff, sounds less into the same sex.
Keeping everything private just motivates everyone to start theories, troll, make false claims on how things run, the "huge leak" in dec. 2010 started an outrage for a few weeks, which would have never happened if everything wasn't so private. Keeping things open lets the community know what's going on what where LVP is heading, what needs to be private is still, nothing anyone needs to worry about. (lol you corrupt fucks.)
To sum this wall of text up, there's issues everywhere where LVP runs and they are not going to fix themselves, I'm only willing to contribute anything only if some people can prove they're willing to themselves, I'm sure many others feel that way.
