There are underground rappers today who are much better than mainstream artists but don't get recognition or money. If they cared about the money that much I think they'd either give up or step up the game.

And again when rap started it was done by slaves so of course they wouldn't get money for it, they just expressed their feelings and did it for entertainment.

And music doesn't necessarily mean singing, they use beats and rhythm and they use lines and the good rappers had a good flow in their songs and their lyrics were meaningful.

Again, if we use your arguement RnB and POP artists aren't singers as all they have is some flow in the music that people get drawn into. Nobody listens to RnB and POP for the lyrics (they're almost all about love anyway) and the singers don't mean what their lyrics say. The only reason they all sing about love is because it's what always makes the charts and radio stations (bringing them more money and fame)...like most modern rappers.

I can't understand how a piece of music WITHOUT actual music can be called a song. That's my opinion. If I would want to listen to expressed feelings in words, I would rather go to theatre.

Well quite a few rap songs have music in the background aswell as beats. There's no singing but then again music doesn't need vocals.

I won't lie - I have a couple of Eminem's songs in my music library. But all these Lil' Waynes, Weezys, 50 cents are making me sick.

(Lil Wayne and Weezy is the same person)

And that's why I said modern rappers (with the exception of a few) are just like the mainstream RnB / POP singers, they rap for money and only money, don't care about rapping and you can't really relate to much of what they go on about.

I like some of 50 Cent's work but only his early stuff (thanks to Dr Dre) and he was one of the only good rappers from mid 2000s and onwards (excluding rappers from before then that are still going now).

And NEVER use Lil Wayne to win an arguement unless it's to argue against modern rap / music artists and songs. He's the biggest joke going and his fans make George Bush look like a genius. Kind of like Justin Bieber fans.

It requires almost no skills, no need of making music (that's what I mean - how can "rap songs" be songs if there are like two different notes in a whole "song"?). Don't tell me that when rapping, you express your feelings, thoughts, etc. Better make a good poem about those things. And of course, the funny "rapper attitude" - "gangsta" shit, the radio carrying on your shoulder and other non-senses.
Most people can make songs from any style they want. Rap, R&B, POP, Jazz.

@Fat_Cobra: I can't control how people make music, so me being a faggot doesn't prove anything.
