Until very recently, I had a desert eagle in slot 4. But it's a bit of a pain when I run out of ammo on my primary to only be left with a pistol.

Just use Badolier or switch weapon? there's always lots on the ground, I just switch my secondary to that

Overkill is useless.

Only time it's worth having overkill is when you have a shotgun or sniper, but even then the deagle in CoD4 will do just fine.
