FIFA World Cup 2010 topic

It's call sacrifice, and you can't excuse the Ghana player from missing that penalty shot that would have given Ghana the win. Clearly, Ghana did not train for penalty shots.

I agree, while the TV hosts on this side of the pond where saying it was a boring match apart from the drama at the end I have to admit I enjoyed this game more than any other game so far.. it was intense.

But the fact remains that a Uraregay team member hit that ball on (or maybe past?) the from the goall ine in the last few seconds with his hand, that should of been a goal there and then.

Sure, he was given the red card... but the rightfull and fair goal that it should have been was deprived and a peno given... which is alway a gamble... sadly Ghana missed.

Ghana where simply robbed and it only further highlights the injustice in football due to the lack of tech. to govern the game and for it to consider the whole consequences of cheating in a live game.

Again, Ghana was robbed, and with south american history in the last 50 years with handballs, Brazils petty and violent behaviour when they where behind in todays match only reinforces my belief that south american teams are chancers and borderline cheaters and have been for a while. When things arn't going so well they are the first to play dirty for their own advantage.

Sure, this is all great for someone supporting these teams, and maybe rightly so, but its clear to me as a casual supporter of football that the whole game is flawed right down to the core level, (where teams are robbed of a victory because some person decided to hit the ball from the goal line with the hand) and therefore come to the conclusion that people who follow football on a series level are idiots.  Just retarded idiots watching a game that clearly far from fair, hence the diving etc.

And yet they are proud.  Still, damn good game to watch. Wrong team won, I honestly think after this world cup there will be a decline in football followship, as even stupid people can see its more fair to get the 2 teams to roll some dice at the start of the match to determine the winner. That at least would be fair.

Oh, did it pass the line? The channel that I watched the game on didn't mention anything about the ball passing the line :?

Maybe it didn't pass the line  hence the ? in my statement... but to me it looked like the ball was about 1 foot behind the line as it was hit out(I could be wrong) but that changes nothing.

Fact is the ball was kicked in, only to be hit off the line by a hand. Therefore a totally valid, fair and legit goal was deprived.

In its place a penality was given, which is no subsitute for the goal that should have been, as its a gamble.  Sure enough it was missed but it doesn't change the fact that due to CHEATING  a valid goal was disallowed.

Hence my comment on people who follow people being more stupid than the general population because the overlook this FACT because it suits them better.

Living and believing a lie etc.  Probably explains why these countries are 2nd and 3rd world countries, and why when I was manager running a call center that catered for spanish and portuguese speaking people among others helpdesk I never once hired one south american person out of the approx 200 people I interviewed, because being bottom of the 'barrel' so to speak (not to be taken literly of course) they're willing do say/lie/do whatever to get the advantage, product of living in a deprived country. But thats a debate for a different occasion and time :)

Honour, means more than alot of people realise, but recent events in a shallow football game only renenforces my belief and helps explain why they are 2nd and 3rd world countries.

Honour.. simple respect and honesty.. its clearly missing in some parts of the world. Still, Not complainng too much, I get to sleep in my 12 bedroom house with 16 computers/laptops and more money that I know how to spend on food and electricity alone apposed to people working for companies or in situaltions to benifit the west for 10 dollah a day while their country is being stripped of natural resouraces and dignity so I can have a 35 gallon bath every day while they work their asses off to make a basic standard of living that is 40 years behind the times explaining why theres so many south americans playing sa-mp because they don't have a computer good enough to play anything more modern.

Makes me sleep better at night :)  Justice :)

P.S. I love being a smug git :) And i've thrown away more food in the last month that the majorty of people in the world have eaten in the last year.

And it feels great, still myself and others never reached the lowest level of humanity to cheat at anything and deprive someone of somethng they rightfully earned. Treat others as you want to be treated yourself is a cornerstone of humanity and is a a morally right attitude to have. If only more people in the world had the same respect maybe they wouldn't be living in shit :) What go's around comes around.

And the flaws in FIFAs handing of the games allowing such things only reinforces that belief.  What a fucked up world we live in :)

You write too much, bubbles :P

Anyway, let us (South Americans) hope that Paraguay at least puts on a good show tomorrow.

Yah, I type too much for these shallow simple parts of the interwebs, but I speak the truth. Also hoping for a good match tomorrow. Tonights match was damn good. I have high hopes for Argentinas match too, have a feeling they'll win the cup, think heir next match against Germany would be their most difficult. Once they get past them its smooth sailing.

I'm rooting for Germany tomorrow, but whatever happens will happen.

If Argentina win I hope Maxi Rodriguez scores, or at least assists. And would be nice if Mascherano gets a goal, then he'll be more valuable which will bring more money to Liverpool if he gets bought. But that's just wishful thinking, he's crap at scoring, only ever managing 2 for Liverpool in 93 appearences.

What've you got against Argentina?

And yeah, gl to Paraguay too, but seeing as they struggled defeating Japan (in penalties) I highly doubt they'll hurt Spain tomorrow, we'll see
