I used to get them all the time! Used to love the way the picture changed when you moved them about, and that game you'd play with them.

Yeah consoles these days just suck. Cartrages were the way to go, people couldn't pirate them. The 360 and PS3 gets a new version all the time, with like an extra 20gb space and stuff, having people go out and spend another 300 Pounds / Euros / Dollars / Whatever.
Back then you were either a Nintendo fan, PS1 fan or Sega fan, now you can be Nintendo (only Wii), PS3 and 360 fans at the same time (sometimes PS3 and 360 can get rivalled though by fanboys).
Oh yeah and the Amega, with the North and South game (based on the American civil war).

Hell, I even bought the Pokemon movie on release, back in 1998.
Lol, never been a Pokémon fan but I remember playing with Poké cards back at school, or swapping them. Now it's ''Yu-Gi-Oh''...and before I left school, football cards were the new thing, but you couldn't beat anyone, just have a better player or have the book more filled. Another is having a shiny card.
Oh and, how can you have a 90s thread without this?
Oh and who could forget this?
