Kick A Ginger Day?

Is that a real event? Or is it like Mischief Night? Where kids make up the event to cause trouble?
Is it even illegal?

The cops/feds or whoever went round to his place, but he didn't get charged as it was meant to be a joke.

Too bad I'm not exactly ginger, but I'd love to see some randoms kick some mates and use "kick a ginger day" as an excuse. Seriously I'm looking for an excuse to beat some sense into kids that participate.
