Graphics Card Suggestion?

I would highly suggest against against going cheap on the PSU. It is the one part you should never go cheap on. A crappy PSU has a greater chance of dying when being stressed and if it dies it can take most of your PC with it. I haven't followed the new PSU's so i can't suggest anything...sry.

The PC shop nerds are fixing my pc atm, it was impossible to do anything in that computer again. If you can wait, when I have my PC back I'll tell you if they replaced the PSU, and if it works well, I'll give you the name.

Almost any 450+W PSU will work with the 4850, its more about how good it is and how long it will last

Well I dunno, I know nothing about hardware...all I know was because of what happened to me.

Go with Corsair or OCZ for the PSU, they're expensive but reliable.

checking into those 2 brands now,would rather spend a few more bucks getting a good psu then replacing the whole comp when a shitty one eventually fries it

hummmz aight people i got my new card and psu,now im scared to install them lmfao is it complicated

Nah, its easy to get them up and running.
Just take out the old PSU and your current graphics card out and remember to unplug all the PSU cables from everything and then put your new one in the slot where your previous graphics card was then when the graphics card is in re-plug all the plugs onto everything using your new PSU.

Then when you're done get the drivers disk in your graphics card box and install that and you should be done.

If your still not confident enough then just watch some videos on youtube or something seeing thats what I did before building my computer.

got em both installed in like 5 mins,got a pretty nasty cut on my hand but meh least its done,

i ended up getting

Radeon HD 4830

had it on sale at a local shop so i went for it,not let down at all so far runs all the games i wanted to play on high settings...


edit: wow everything looks more vibrant and nice now,was deff a good investment,can run LVP on full settings now with no lag,everything was set to low b4
