Now, it's far too bloody random, 95% of the jokes have NOTHING to do with the plot, which is just stupid.
Gets old very fast. Unfortunately, the most recent simpsons episodes have a tendancy to do a similar thing, although to less of a degree.

There are also those things that run for 30secs-1min, like Peter grabbing his shin and "aaaaah.... *breathes in*, ahhhh (etc)" - you know the 'jokes' I'm talking about.

The South Park episode where Cartman tries to take Family Guy off the air (double episode) is very funny, and is pretty darn spot on with the impersonations.

1. I do know what jokes you are talking about Maadolis. They can actually be funny sometimes, but others they just drag on. I will never find another part of Family Guy that made me laugh as much as the weather reporter when Peter attempts to hijack a plane in order to get Quagmire his job back. If any of you have seen that episode you will know what i mean.

2. That is also a funny south park episode. However, i feel only Family Guy can make me laugh nowadays. South park & the Simpsons just aren't mature enough.

Yeah, my favourite family guy part was probably "Dance with me Lois, dance the dance of life!" (he proceeds to trip over himself into the bookshelf- for whatever reason, the day I first watched that I had tears in my eyes after a minute of laughing).
Sure, they've had a few awesome jokes, and although at first I found those repetitive (30+ second jokes I mentioned above) jokes to be funny (Stewie swimming around saying "marco? marco?" without whoever it was replying 'Polo'), they get old *really* fast, and I'm just sick of them now.

South Park, in my opinion, is on average slightly less mature, but also pushes the envelope in terms of offending people (which can be very funny, but also very risky- the basic 'risk vs reward (laughs, in this case)' idea), but at times can be more mature.
I wouldn't go and say that the Simpsons is immature, however. It is a very character-based comedy (like The Office and many other fine shows)- and Homer remains perhaps my favourite comedy character (slightly ahead of 'Dwight Schrute' from The Office [US]). I wouldn't say that the Simpsons is less mature than Family Guy, but it is fun for the family, as opposed to Family Guy, which in my opinion is less mature but targeted to a smaller age range.
