[Complaint and problem] Some fag using my name. - Darius - 04-11-2008
Okay well I saw this guy called 'darius' ingame. Luckily I managed to get him kicked through IRC.
So, I tryed to change my name from [UvH]Darius to Darius on irc.
And I get this.
<Nuwani> Info: That nickname is already in use.
So admins please could you delete the fake Darius' account, and change my account from [UvH]Darius too Darius.

Hi,
I don't see why you're so frustrated.
Isn't it possible that you're not the only Darius?
Darius is a player, and you have no right to;
1) Call him a 'fag', unnecessary homophobia
2) Kick him through IRC
3) Assume he's the "fake Darius"
If a player named [ST]Small_Fry wanted to change his name to "Fry", would he have any right to delete my account completely and deny me access to LVP?
I'm afraid there's nothing we can do.
Ss there any other nickname you'd rather play under?

And no I wouldn't rather change name I've been using this name since September 06' and most of the times people have used my name they are cheating to give my name a bad reputation. I made this name what it is and I'm known by this name. I don't see why after all this time I should change my name now.

If there's really no other name you can play under, then you're going to have to either keep your name, pick a new one, or stop playing.

Moved to account related.
Basically, When you changed your name the first time, you should have registered your orginal one as a backup, which is what I done with the name Jay. Unfortunately, Nothing can be done about it, unless the person registered under your name agree's to a namechange. Perhaps you could offer him some ingame money or somthing

It's not an unique name, so this is always possible.
But..:

It's scary the way admins can just !changename...
If you piss one off you might one day find that you can't login!
