Re: Whisky topic - [NB]Zaibatsu - 03-14-2011 Tasted some cheap shit and Ballantine's in my life, didnt like either of them, so whiskey = for me
Re: Whisky topic - Hitman - 03-14-2011 Quote:Zaibatsu link=topic=22711.msg378208#msg378208 date=1300093279] Ballantines is cheap shit aswell (atleast incase your talking about the "normal" standard bottle that you get in most supermarkets). Cheap whisky really is disgusting, you should try a bit more expensive one, its really worth the extra cash $$ Altho if you just want to get drunk i'd go with wodka/lemon or bacardi/coke Re: Whisky topic - Maka - 03-14-2011 Bacardi. <3
Re: Whisky topic - WLproxy - 03-14-2011 Hehe Bacardi Razz is a nice way to get drunk :p. Drank a bit to much of that stuff on my last holiday . The only whisky i've ever drunk was some Red Label mixed with cola, not my favourite drink but it's ok. But on the rocks i found it really disgusting. Maybe I need to try it some time again...
Re: Whisky topic - Maka - 03-14-2011 Love Razz. Though I need to say I usually don't drink rum or whisky. I should start, actually. Beer isn't really my kind of thing. Love Bacardi and Martini, though. Re: Whisky topic - SolidRock - 03-14-2011 The problem that a lot of people dislike whisky is a result of the first whisky they taste; mostly a cheap one. Ballentines, Red Label, Four Roses, The Famous Grouse, all cheap whisky's but not very good ones. As Hitman said, you should go for a little more expensive bottle instead of the cheap crap. It doesn't have to cost a fortune though, but a bottle like 25-30 euro's is worth the money and way better then -for example- a Red Label. Re: Whisky topic - WLproxy - 03-14-2011 So what one do you recommend me for trying out? @Maka Martini, seriously ? That must be the most disgusting thing evurrr
Re: Whisky topic - SolidRock - 03-14-2011 Jack Daniels is always good to start with. But if you want to taste something a little more special, try one of these: - Johnny Walker Black Label - Bowmore Legend - Glenlivet 12 All three are around 27 euro's (JD is 22 afaik). But remember not to drink too much at once, just enjoy it
