It was rumoured that Liverpool were after Carlton Cole and Van der Vaart.
And Rafa better get players who don't arrive injured, and when they heal, he still sits them on the bench, like Aquilani. He's healed now yet he's still sitting on the bench all day.

Liverpool should be demoted into the 2nd division while Rafa should start managing better clubs e.g. the ones in Cyprus, Greece, Serbia or Switzerland

I know, it's as if that now 240 or something million Pound debt doesn't exist.
Aquilani was bought to replace Alonso. He came in injured, got about 5 minutes against Arsenal in the Carling Cup, and was actually the best player on the pitch and showed potential. He's fully fit now, no problems, not illness, no flu (he had flu a couple months ago), no nothing. He should be making that 22+ Million be worth it. Yet he hardly gets a game, and when he does he hardly gets the ball.
Getting rid of Alonso was the biggest mistake Liverpool made. Even when he didn't score a lot, he kept the spirits high. Kinda like Theo Walcott or van Persie, where when neither of them don't score, as long as they're on the pitch the team do great, while without them they feel the difference.
