Hi everyone!
In summation, I agree that any vehicle with weaponry on board (including the RC Baron) should count toward what Las Venturas Playground considers to be a "lame kill." It would be inconsistent of us to maintain that the RC Barons are not similar to the Sea Sparrow—they provide simplistic killing of any player that is in its line of sight. It is the same logic behind why we allow the revenge menu for drive-by shootings.

Well then whats the final decision? Pls BARONS NO Lame kill or anything i love barons ever since my unban i was waiting to use them pls keep them .
WHy not remove: well Ever got angry? And just wanted to kill thhat person? Go get a baron.Plus barons are a balance it can easily get destroyed

That's exactly what I feared. It's not about pay to win or something, it's like scaming people to buy VIP then removing it's features.

Folks, let's all please take a step back. I don't like the course this thread has taken at all.
In principle, you donate to Las Venturas Playground to support the server. It costs a fair amount of money to run things. Your contributions are important in making sure that we continue to be able to do so. Of course, this is a bit of an ideology. In practice, players also donate to get access to additional features. That's perfectly fine. However, we most certainly did not intend to create a path for players to get unfair advantages.
Considering the question at hand, there are a few facts to be told. The RC Baron is a small, versatile but slow vehicle. It is easy to destroy. It deals a lot of damage. It has a form of auto-aim. It spawns close to the VIP room. It's also not used a whole lot— it averages just about a dozen entries per day. We most certainly never advertised that such kills don't count as lame kills.
Based on the potential for unfair usage, I agree that we should apply the lame kill dialog.
The remainder of replies focuses on how this affects the features we offer to people who have donated to the server. Let me reply to those individually.
Oresti, yes, given the facts I shared above this issue is being blown up a bit. It's one of the many situations players may run in to. That does not mean that we shouldn't consider it, though.
Shem, no, we are not slowly destroying VIP features. We have been introducing them at a faster rate recently than ever before. It deeply concerns me that you consider this "scamming people" when your statement is provably incorrect.
Haunter, your responses indicate exactly why we should apply the lame kill dialog. You acknowledge that it's a method for VIPs to easier kill other players. That sounds like an unfair advantage to me.
We've always been asking all of you to suggest new features for VIPs. I'm very sorry, but we're not in a workable situation when you don't make suggestions yourself but do complain when we make our own decisions. Instead, take this as a cue to get your own suggestions flowing. We will consider them like any other. Nocere facile est, prodesse difficile.

If it was not used even like this, from now on it will become completely useless. I don't get it why do admins have to make such decisions like this when it barely affects them, as most of them are pretty inactive ingame. Why don't we make a poll about it which should require at least 30 votes, and make the decision based on the poll? Would be fair enough imo.
