Re: Football Topic - Munch - 10-06-2011 (10-06-2011, 07:30 PM)XiZ link Wrote: Ha! Well, when we bought him from Liverpool he wasn't anything near shit. Guess we just ruined him or he was ruined right before we bought him. Problem was Drogba wasn't doing that good so we needed a better striker and Torres looked like the perfect player for that position yet... Torres was just starting to hit form again for Liverpool after a poor start (right after a poor World Cup (right after an injury)) but when he went to Chelsea it just came to a standstill. Maybe it was his regret for leaving, maybe it's because he wasn't getting the service from Gerrard, maybe he's too scared to get injured or maybe he's worried about leaving John Terry to look after his wife. I put it down to injury. At Liverpool he was a target for dirty players like Patrice Evra due to him being a massive threat. During the last World Cup he was unable to do anything and during Woy's reign at Liverpool he struggled (although no one besides N'Gog did well under Roy (says it all really) and Reina). His injuries probably took a bit of pace off him and he seems to have forgotten where the net is. And lol, I remember seeing his miss against Man U on YouTube...it was funny. YouTube took them all down about a day later though. Re: Football Topic - Gaahl - 10-07-2011 well, if this might make you feel better, the goal missed by Torres against ManU looks exhactly the same as the one Forlan missed some time ago while he was in ManU. We got an ex-shit striker, you got a shit striker which might improve (and if he does like Forlan did, you'll have some fun watching him play in the future) ![]() anyway I have no idea how we got to discuss about Torres, I guess my initial question was if you are still clicking corpses on bf3 while trying to loot them. Re: Football Topic - [NB]Zaibatsu - 10-12-2011 ![]() looking good, or what noisiA ??? ![]() nice penalty shot by vidic btw. gg Re: Football Topic - Munch - 10-15-2011 Liverpool 1 - 1 Manchester United (at Anfield) Man U started with a weaker strike force (although no disrespect to Welbeck) with Rooney and Hernandez on the bench. Liverpool didn't take advantage of that though. Steven Gerrard marked his proper return with a goal from a free kick. During the second half, after our goal, Fergie brought on Rooney and soon after Hernandez. With 15 minutes to go, from a debatable corner kick, Hernandez displayed his class by taking advantage of a defensive error from Skrtle (he didn't mark him as good as he should have). Man U didn't go up that much, while Liverpool were going up as much as they could. United looked a little defensive to me, but it paid off as it was hard for our boys to break them, and when they did David De Gea saw to it that they didn't break past him. I think Kenny should have used his subs better, he should have put Bellamy (and/)or Andy Carroll on. I'd have put Bellamy on for Lucas (he had a yellow and looked tired) and later on Carroll for Kuyt (because he was looking really frustrated and making sloppy errors). Henderson for Lucas was a good move though so I won't complain about that, so what he should've done then is take Kuyt off for either Bellamy or Carroll. I also don't understand why Skrtle started ahead of Daniel Agger. Agger was on the bench, and if he's on the bench then he must be fit...and a fit Daniel Agger is NOT someone you leave out of your starting lineup. Liverpool played well, Man U defended well...I'll take 1-1. It feels like we were robbed 2 points though...we could have been 3 points behind Man U if we won. I can't complain though, because it means Man City are now 2 points ahead of them in 1st place (since they won their game) and Chelsea are probably going to beat Everton at Stamford Bridge so they'll be 1 point behind Man U. It's always nice to see Man United outside of 1st place.
