You're right I wouldn't pay more than a tenner for Modric unless he offered a handjob then maybe I'd up it to £20

Well I wouldn't expect Chelsea to pay £40m for him, but I wouldn't put it past them to pay £25m-£30m. As I'm not a fan of Tottenham or Modric I can't give a personal valuation on him based on the current market. I'm just going by what the market values players at. Why would Chelsea or any club buy a player for what value the fans think they're worth?

Everton's Jack Rodwell is valued at £20m, as is Leighton Baines. They're both English too, and Manchester City has shown interest in Jack Rodwell. With all honesty I CAN expect City to pay £30m or more for him if they went for him. I'd value Modric much higher than those two, and not just because they're Everton players.

Before Liverpool bought Andy Carroll, did you expect them to pay £35m for him? I didn't. I didn't even expect them to put in a bid for him, especially with the price Newcastle put on him, and even though Liverpool are walkovers in the transfer market I would have thought they'd get the price down a bit. Having said that though, if it wasn't transfer deadline day they might have done.

All this about a decent player and We all know chelsea are morons when it comes to buying players nevermind man city .
Anyway modric won't leave spurs . Seriously chelsea should instead buy pastore or hamsik for the same price and they're both younger and maybe better .

On another issue what do you think of Lukaku?

I actually found out about him on FIFA 11 but now it appears Chelsea/Man City are lining him up and stealing my thunder.

yeah actually they call him the next drogba ( probably going to be a flop ) I would go for Kevin de bruyne this guy is wonderful :)

Re: Football Topic - dappamikey - 06-20-2011

Kevin de bruyne, I can't say I've heard of him but I'll check him out. The last Belgian I remember a lot of hype about was when we bought Jonathan Blondel they were saying the next Glenn Hoddle. Unfortunatley he looked like a little boy lost over here.

Re: Football Topic - MaZ - 06-20-2011

Ye de bruyne is pretty good, shame his season got fucked by his disease :/

Re: Football Topic - Daniel - 06-20-2011

So what about these things.

Elia to Chelsea 17mill.

Eto to Manchester United ... he admitted he wanted to play in the premier league badly.

Sneijder to manchester United.
