Yea I bet on football matches, only small amounts though. And I'm  from Germany, in the Bundesliga there's nothing corrupt. Where are you from?^^

Re: Football Topic - Munch - 04-15-2011

Today (April 15th) is the 22nd anniversary of the Hillsborough Stadium Disaster. The annual memorial took place today (I went to it again, like last year) and the contributions the city council makes is great.

There was the Liverpool MP and former Lord Mayor Steve Rotheram. Great guy who gave a great speech. I've met him a few times since he became Lord Mayor, but you wouldn't know he was a politician. Then there was the current Lord Mayor (female) who gave her speech...and cried!

Rafael Benitez was there too. He even shed a tear (see photo below). The Kop was also chanting his name to return the respect.

Steve Rotheram also said the Liverpool City Council and other councils on Merseyside are signing what is called an "early motion" to the Queen in the hopes of getting Kenny Dalglish knighted for his work for the Hillsborough Justice Campaign. I can't think of many people more deserving of the award.

Edit: Today, April 16th, is the birthday of Rafael Benitez! He's 51 years old today!

2012 marks the 130th anniversary of the formation of "Probably The Greatest Club In The World." You may bow down or honour such greatness as you see fit.

Re: Football Topic - Munch - 04-16-2011

Manchester City 1 - 0 Manchester United!! Yaya Touré scores! Scholes sent off!

Man U won't be getting an FA Cup this season. No Rooney and an early second half exit for Paul Scholes saw Man UTD's chances of FA Cup glory go out the window. Man U hardly tested Man City, the only one who did much was Park Ji-Sung.

Michael Carrick made a sloppy mistake and Yaya Touré took advantage of it. He got the ball, and instead of panicing when Vidic went to him, he just took the ball around him and put the ball through van der Sar's legs.

Manchester United even got +5 minutes extra time (even though there weren't many incidents with the game being stopped.) Fergie must be going insane now because he didn't get given enough extra time.
