Re: Upgrading My PC* | EDIT: Building PC - Help with parts. - Hitman - 05-30-2009 I wouldnt say its much cooler there. Because if all components are open "air", there cant be the cool airflow by CPU/Case/Videocard-Coolers and Fans. So i think it just has about the same temperature like in the case. Re: Upgrading My PC* | EDIT: Building PC - Help with parts. - [W]TR1pin - 05-30-2009 This may seem stupid but, How when you've got the computer parts all together actually turn it on, lol. I meen, there isn't the button on the front of the case to press? Re: Upgrading My PC* | EDIT: Building PC - Help with parts. - Aaron - 05-30-2009 There's a few different ways, but i prefer just putting a jumper pin on the motherboard to start You might as well try to get a case,or use your current case..It would suck ass if you or someone were to spill something on the hardware!(05-30-2009, 08:49 AM)Hitman link Wrote: I wouldnt say its much cooler there. So i think it just has about the same temperature like in the case.Yeah, depending on room temperature to though..Since i just built my new rig,my room temp is 80-90+F from the airflow within my case. Now planning to get a I7 rig put together to see whats good with the new i7's
Re: Upgrading My PC* | EDIT: Building PC - Help with parts. - [W]TR1pin - 06-26-2009 I'm back ![]() I'm sorry for like stopping this, but I've gotten some money and now I'm seriously looking for one build. Firstly, I've got 2 x 2gb RAM. It sais: 2GB. 2Rx8. PC2. 6400U. 666. 13. E1. 800. I only wrote that because I want to see if it is compatible with this rig im going to show you. And I got a Intel Core TM2 / Duo SlapB Costa Rica 2.66GHz / 3M / 1066 / 063848A477 That's what it sais on the CPU Now, I've been thinking about getting this rig. GFX Card ($197.00): http://www.centrecom.com.au/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=26&products_id=33359 Mobo ($107.00): http://www.centrecom.com.au/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=36_62&products_id=37779 PSU ($119.90): http://www.centrecom.com.au/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=74&products_id=30877B Hard Drive ($71.00): http://www.centrecom.com.au/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=107_22&products_id=37086 Case ($53.90): http://www.centrecom.com.au/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=125_126&products_id=37884 Total : $548.80 Now, that is without the DVD Drive. I don't know what to do, like what cabels you need to make sure the DVD drive works, their is one cable that comes out of the PSU, right? And another that looks like this >http://www.centrecom.com.au/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=73&products_id=345 < I have one of them, but would I need another? Like anything else to connect anything else together? That's what I need to know from now, I'll ask more later. Re: Upgrading My PC* | EDIT: Building PC - Help with parts. - FarePak - 06-26-2009 No need to buy the cables some come with the motherboard and they should come with the DVD Drive/HDD ect anyway. Edit: All the parts look ok to me Re: Upgrading My PC* | EDIT: Building PC - Help with parts. - [W]TR1pin - 06-26-2009 Now, is heatsink or w/e that goo on the processor. Because I got this CPU out of another PC so I took of the goo thing, lol. Would I need to buy it again? Re: Upgrading My PC* | EDIT: Building PC - Help with parts. - FarePak - 06-26-2009 That was the thermal paste, you're gonna need to buy some thermal paste for when you put the heatsink + cpu back on the motherboard when you get it. Edit: Also when you put the thermal paste on the CPU, only put a little splodge in the middle then put the heatsink back on and it will spread out on its own, but don't put too much on otherwise the thermal paste will squirt out the sides of the CPU. Re: Upgrading My PC* | EDIT: Building PC - Help with parts. - [W]TR1pin - 06-26-2009 Well, I'll buy that, but what does it actually do? Then what's the heatsink. |
