He went into the World Cup on the back of an injury, played crap then went straight back into Man U's starting XI. Torres had the same problem and they're both struggling to find their feet (and now Torres is injured again so it'll take him a while).True , but MAN UTD got somme young quality players like macheda and rafael ![]() But soon they will have to buy other players and they'r debt will get bigger and bigger... Re: Football Topic - Munch - 10-11-2010 (10-11-2010, 12:30 PM)AzKiller link Wrote: True , but MAN UTD got somme young quality players like macheda and rafael The Champions League is the only real thing supplying them the real money and sustaining the club. Without the Champions League (and without getting far in it) they'll suffer a lot (like Liverpool). They have some young quality players (...I already said that) but not enough to be the powerful team they are now (for now). They'll need to buy to fill them gaps and with the big debt they won't have much money to spend (besides what they make in the Champions League). Also the older players will also get injuries quicker and they'll last longer so that'll also be another problem, so they need to get these quality youths pretty quick. Re: Football Topic - dappamikey - 10-13-2010 If you haven't seen this before (came out last year) it's a guarenteed laugh... tehTrunk Tottenham's Top ITK - Episode One: Introductions Let it be known Tottenham fans can laugh at themselves. Re: Football Topic - Munch - 10-17-2010 Now I know what it feels like to be an Evertonian. I'd feel sorry for all the times I've picked on them but because it was Cahil who scored the first goal in the first half, I won't. In the betting shop, put £10 on Tim Cahil to score the first goal and in the first half, you get £450!! I'd of put it on too, but you don't bet against your own team. Re: Football Topic - dappamikey - 10-18-2010 And yet you still mock spurs for enjoying the success we're having right now. Your club is the laughing stock of the premier league, nothing more than bridesmaids for the last 20 years yet you still claim some kind of superiority because of things you did 30-40 years ago. And on the topic of the Big 4, you seem to forget there was once a big 5 of Arsenal, Man utd, Spurs, Liverpool and Everton, times have changed since then and the Big 4 is no different. Let's be honest the last 5 years it's been pretty much a big 2 of Chelsea and Man Utd, barring one season of over performance of Liverpool, with the other 2 making up the numbers. And who cares about how many fans you have in China etc? We have 30,000 fans on our season ticket waiting list - the real fans. And all this coming form a club that have spent the entire Premier League era in mid table mediocrity with the occasional flirtation with relegation. It's about time Liverpool fans got in the real world (I'm enjoying this great period for Tottenham while it lasts as I know only too well it won't last forever) and realised no club has a divine right to success based on their past acheivements or fanbase or whatever other stat. I don't mock the success you're having now, I just keep pointing out your arrogance. And we haven't been a laughing stock for the last 20 years, Liverpool have still won plenty of things in the last 20 years, just not the Premier League. And all this coming form a club that have spent the entire Premier League era in mid table mediocrity with the occasional flirtation with relegation. Well for starters, the teams that have the world wide fan base care about the fans they have in China. You won't understand because no one gives a shit about Tottenham other than the locals. And despite Liverpool's bad season last year and this year and the rises in the prices of season tickets and tickets in general, lots and lots of fans are still buying them. And I have not forgot about the big 5, but you keep classing Tottenham as a big four as if you've always been there. And in the last decade it hasn't just been the top 2 (Man U and Chelsea), Arsenal have been strong contenders aswell. And because of Liverpool's success and the fact that we stayed at the top Liverpool were classed as a big 4, and many still consider Liverpool as one of the big four. And you think Liverpool fans can't see what's happening? We woke up to the fact not long after David Moores sold to the Americans. The reason it may not look like that is because Liverpool fans SUPPORT the team and have always had strong faith and belief no matter what. This season that has dropped a lot but we still have faith in the team (not so much the manager though). We don't just turn away and go support someone like Barcelona as soon as things don't go our way. Are you finished having a go at me every chance you get yet?
