I wanted Uruguay to win the match against France but hey, another draw.

With the exception of Anelka, that team was unbelievable. Falling over everywhere and holding their kneecap or whatever, then jumping back up when the ball comes to them...stupid cheaters.

No arguments there, but hey, it is soccer.
Maybe, if we're lucky, we'll see 10 goals and 2 win/losses before the end of the tournament!

Yeah honestly both teams were full of pussies, I haven't watched a great deal of soccer (yeah I'm calling it soccer, deal with it people) for a few years but the whole falling down thing is really annoying me. Biggest pussies in sport, and they make enough in a year to feed 1000 starving families for a year.

That's why people complain about the Military's wages. A football earns more in a match (doesn't even have to be full 90 minutes) than a soldier earns in his life (okay slightly exaggerating, but not that much!) Even though a soldier won't have much to spend his good wages on when out on duty, and will be bigger targets because they're more wealthy, it's still outrageous.

You do get those that stay up though, play with passion and don't drop like flies but they're becoming rare now. Rooney, as much as I hate him, is one of them. He just flies down the middle and fearlessly blasts it in, he doesn't try to ''beat around the bush'' as they say.

Yeah good on those players, they're becoming a rarity but I'm afraid that's just the way the game is going.
Games are far more entertaining when they have a good amount of movement and are open, but I don't find watching the games to be as entertaining as I used to (which even at that point, wasn't very much at all). Same goes with some other sports. The opening game was decently enjoyable, but this Argentina/Nigeria one was boring.
