I am registered BTW. I joined a gang and i was with them for a while i then had to go so i logged off. When i log on again i am not in the gang. Is this a bug or not?

Nope, this is standard. You must wait on an invite when you join the gang :).

It's not a bug =)

You'll have to rejoin your gang when you reconnect.
If all members have left the gang, the gang will be disbanded, so you'll have to recreate it then.

Your recognised by other people as being in the gang, but when you first log in, your not recognised by the server or other people as being in the gang. Just ask for an invite :)
