MSN virus

Who knows about this virus going round on msn? It's like, I send a .zip file to someone and say: Hey, this is a funny pic, look at it! Then you accept the zip file and open it... and it's a virus... but I didnt send it, someone's accesed one of my friends accounts, then sent it to me. I opened it, thinking it was good, then I keep sending it to people... then they're gona send it to people... and so on, and so on.

So if you're on MSN, and you get a message like this (not nessescarily this):

Quote:BobJohnSmithe says:
I think I found your picture on myspace! Have a look
BobJohnSmithe says:
BobJohnSmithe has sent you a .zip file, click here to accept, here to deny!

Always click deny, coz it's not him sending it, it's a hacker!

I've seen that before, luckily AVG took care of it.

Really old. Never accept anything on MSN unless you're deep in conversation with the person and they're talking about the said file.. that should be a minimum requirement really. People fall for those "naked pics of me" shit all the time. They end up getting fucked. :+

I never even allow people that I don't know to my friends list.
I only do so if they told me in person that they would.

btw, how can a zip file deploy a virus? did you open a file inside that archive?

Its quite obvious if he's sending a picture in a zipped file.. :/

1. You can send pictures without any zip/rar
2. No1 actually haves a pic in a zip or rar or .exe

so its pretty obvious when someone's trying to give you a virus.

Althought, I've been hit once, when someone gave me a 'GTA mod' and I opened it -> kaboom.

Also one other thing: If you get a message like: Hey, this guy looks like you <address>

Do not open it. thats a virus too.

In my eyes MSN is already a virus, all it can do is annoy me.
So my pc never boots it anyway.
