After a considerably long time of development, the Las Venturas Playground Core has nearly reached the state of completion. The Core, being the main communication handler between the different modules, the clients and the database, is the most important part of the new gamemode. It makes sure that your information is available whenever you login to the server.
With this part being done, development on the normal gameplay can begin. This includes random spawns throughout Las Venturas, scripted regulations of the rules (for example, around the Pirate Ship) as well as spawning the vehicles throughout San Andreas. We've thought of an original system which will be used to determine which vehicle goes where, depending on the amount of donators living in the region. Las Venturas will be divided in 32 region's, each of which can be occupied by donators who can build their houses there. The area will get tagged with a specific wealth depending on a number of statistics, including the amount of donators living in it and the number of murders in the past week. This way, there will be a realistic difference in rich- and poor region's in the city of Las Venturas!
Finally, this does also indicate the official start for other developers to get to work. In the next few days we'll open up a development portal and get things started for real, which means the real features will move on to the early development stages pretty soon. Until then, feel free to request features or discuss these latest changes.
On behalf of the Development Team,
Peter
