Turok

I personally love the Turok games.  I didn't really like Evolution much because it drove off the path, but it still had cool guns and an awesome bow (the quad shot shotgun was awesome).  I played the hell out of the 64 ones and I liked all of them, even tho the first one didn't have multiplayer.  It had awesome weapons and a crap load of them, Turok 2 was the first game playable in HD settings, and was innovative with the gameplay (even tho they fell off a little on 3 and majorly on evolution).  They brought the co-father of sticky grenades, the Napalm gel, a gun that fired a blob of napalm gel mines that stuck to any body or thing and you then used the secondary to explode them.  It, to date, has the goriest gun.  The Cerebral Bore, a mine that shot out of a gun and flew into the opponents head, where it drilled into it for a few seconds before exploding.  I don't want to rant, but the turok games have always been under-rated in my eyes, but what are your thoughts?

I had the nintendo 64 version, but got bored with it quite rapidly.. I won't be buying the new version either :( It's a pity though, the idea was original but just approached from the wrong way. Even though I do not know anything about versions which got released after that point, I doubt it really changed alot. Also, I hated the gates in the Nintendo version, for some reason they refused to open up on me whenever I needed them, even if I had met all the requirements for them.

Nah, give me some good old Zelda or Super Mario on the Nintendo 64, games which outrank Turok enormously and still enjoy me quite often today. Gotta love these nintendo emulators available for the computer, a few roms and enough to keep you busy for ages :D
