Windows Vista + SA:MP
#1
I've installed the SA:MP 0.2.2, but it does'nt work. I'm sure the problem is my windows is vista. Do you have any suggestion for me ?

I tried this method:
1) Install San Andreas as usual.
2) After installation, navigate to the folder you installed SA:MP (default: c:\program files\rockstar games\gta san andreas\)
3) Right click on gtasa.exe and go to "Properties".
4) Click the "Compatibility" tab, change the compatibility option to "Windows 98 / Me", click OK.
5) Download and install SA:MP as normal.
6) Install the browser fix for SA:MP (click here, directions are in that thread)
7) Play!

but it's the same .. no playing. Help me please ! :'(
You can see my problem here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ePsJjLEtk...re=related

Chances are it is UAC (User account control). try right clicking and running as administrator, if that doesn't work goto security center, turn off UAC, install, then turn UAC back on (if you want it on).

good luck

P.S. When you exit sa-mp you need to use the windows task manager to end the samp.exe process, it happens no matter what.

I have problems with sa-mp on vista too  :'(
i get always errors after 15 minutes or something
it says in netherlands: de instructie op 0x156cd5c verwijst naar geheugen op 0x052efe47 een lees- of schrijfbewerking op het geheugen is mislukt: read

but now i get a error at the beginning so i can't log in and i cant play

i have windows vista home premium

Put it to 'Windows 95' that one works for me, 98 did the same to me as it does to you..
Also after setting it to Windows 95 (the compability) the ''bugged windows'' won't come after you exit SA:MP.

I hope this helps, not 100% sure does it. but I hope so.  :w  I hope that you can fix your samp, but don't give up on hope.
